Project for a Tier 1 client in Spain, manufactured in 2024. The project uses 18 robots in a spot welding process to assemble a body component for a Volkswagen vehicle.
In 2024, the manufacturing and integration of a robotic production line for the Spanish market was carried out. The line is equipped with 18 industrial robots—10 of them dedicated to welding—ensuring a continuous, precise, and highly efficient production flow. Prior to shipment, part of the assembly was completed at the Serra plant (Barcelona), where the system’s proper operation was verified and initial testing was performed. The installation is designed to handle one product variant consisting of 22 components to be welded, offering high capacity for large production volumes.
Thanks to its high level of automation, the line works with only two operators, optimizing process stability and final product quality. After transfer and installation at the end customer’s site, commissioning was carried out and the different agreed quality milestones were validated. This project stands as a success story in the integration of systems that significantly reduce the number of required operators.
